This was a grueling class, but a LOT of fun! We completed 4 projects for our portfolios: a semiotic poster series, a packaging/cube, a visual information project, and a diagramming project.
Project 1: Semiotic Poster Series
Create a series of posters based on semiotics (symbolic, iconic & indexical) using a song lyric.

Project 2: Packaging Design
Create a promotional cube for an existing company using a minimalistic design
Logo, promotional text and images all belong to the Beard Guyz and were only used for this project
Project 3: Information Design
Arrange 10-15 like items into a visually effective design
“WT” is a trademark for the Washi Tape Shop and used only for this class to create a mockup of a theoretical ad campaign. All washi tape rolls were photographed from my own craft stash and extracted by me for this project.
Project 4: Diagramming
Draw a how-to diagram without using “chart junk” for four different knots
